Dans l'article suivant, une image honnête de la façon dont partie de la direction démocrate s'organise aujourd'hui. En gros, même si ce n'est pas formalisé, c'est la tendance un poil plus à gauche que Clinton, et plus à droite que ce que Sanders cherche à y construire.
Un participant était d'humeur à dire la vérité, dans un des hôtels chics de Washington :
"On peut aisément dire que cette réunion n'est rien de plus qu'un club pour que quelques donneurs blancs et riches et des dirigeants syndicaux boivent du vin et lisent quelques textes de proposition, tandis que le Parti démocrate s'embrase tout autour d'eux."
“The DA itself should be called into question,” said one Democratic strategist who has been active in the group and is attending the meeting. “You can make a very good case it’s nothing more than a social club for a handful wealthy white donors and labor union officials to drink wine and read memos, as the Democratic Party burns down around them.”
